Each weekend at Pilgrim Wesleyan Church of Philadelphia you’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We’re a small church that believes in a Big God that is able to do more than we can ask or think. One of the first things you will probably notice when you come for service is that we are incredibly diverse. By God’s grace, our church is made up of people from all different ethnic backgrounds.

Our services are fairly simple. We worship together with singing, and hear a relevant sermon from God’s Word.

Our Worship Ministry is unique because God has blessed us with several incredible worship leaders

Our sermons are topical extremely practical and based on Scripture. Our goal is to take the text, explain what it means, tie it to other scriptures so people can see the whole picture a little better, and apply it to life so it heals, instructs, and edifies.

You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business attire at our Weekend Service. We encourage you to wear what is comfortable for you, because Pilgrim Wesleyan Church is not about what you look like or what you wear.

If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for a while—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you. We will warn you, if you stick around after service, you will meet some of the greatest followers of Jesus!

We also want to give you a free gift so simply feel out the connection card provided to you by one of our greeters and return it to our hospitality desk inside the sanctuary at the end of service.  We have something special just to say thank you for coming.

Our goal at Pilgrim Wesleyan Church is to provide a safe environment for children from nursery age up to eighth grade to receive the life changing message of Jesus Christ in a relevant, creative, and engaging manner.

Infants: We have an infant  room that is available for newborn to age 2. We have trained, CPR certified and background checked volunteers who are able to care for your child so you can enjoy service without worries.  However, if you feel more comfortable, feel free to bring your infant into service.

Be assured that the safety of your child is of utmost importance to us. We provide matching security numbers for parents and children.

Children’s Church (1st grade – 5th grade): Our children have their own worship service geared specifically for their age.  At Pilgrim Wesleyan Church they learn the truths of God’s Word through our wonderful volunteers that love and invest into the lives of our children week in and week out. Save some time on the day you arrive and register your child before coming for service. 

In addition to our church departments, which ideally range in size from ten to twenty, we strongly encourage everyone to be involved in Bible study.

Being involved in Bible study enables you to ask questions and go deeper in your knowledge of God and the Bible.  

We hold Bible Study on Thursdays at 7:00 pm via Facebook Live.
